Our library is in rough shape. Just how rough? You can see for yourself tomorrow, when the Library Board of Trustees, Belmont Library Foundation and the Library Building Committee jointly host guided tours of our public library between 1PM and 3PM tomorrow, Sunday, October 17.

Calling all runners: Belmont’s fall classic, the Foundation for Belmont Education (FBE) Apple Run is next Sunday! And, if you haven’t registered to run yet, time is drawing short. The deadline for pre-registration is Wednesday evening at 11:59 PM. So, if you want to run and hope to avoid the crowds at the day-of registration booth, you have just two more days to register.

As parents of Belmont students, we have every right to be angry and disappointed in the performance of our schools this year. But as a dark winter turns to Spring, let’s look to the future and invest in it, not build a monument to our anger. Vote YES on Question 1.
Our final response is from School Committee Candidate Tara Donner. Tara is a resident of Belmont, the mother of two and a sitting School Committee member who is seeking her second, full term on the Committee. Her unique experience includes 18 years of middle school teaching and 14 years serving as a Town Meeting Member.
