A reminder to Blogging Belmont readers: today is election day in town. If you’re 18 or older and registered, your civic duty and responsibility is to go vote. So go vote!!
Polls opened at 7:00 AM and will stay open until 8:00 PM.
If you want to know which precinct you’re in, check out this precinct map for Belmont.
If you want to know where your precinct votes, or look at the ballot before you hit the polls (always a good idea), you can find polling locations and copies of the ballots for each of Belmont’s 8 precincts on the Town’s website here.
I have run down my picks for the town wide races and some recommendations for Town Meeting seats in each of the 8 precincts in town in two posts, which you’re happy to consult if you want Paul’s take on the candidates. They are:
- My Thoughts on Tuesday’s Election: Town-Wide Offices
- More thoughts on Tuesday’s Election: Town Meeting by Precinct
But, regardless of whether you think Paul is a guru or Paul is full of s**t, go out and vote today. Participation is required to keep our democracy working. And our Town of Homes benefits when everyone gets to have their say in who gets elected.
Thanks to everyone who pulled papers and ran for public office this year. Belmont is better for your participation.
