Check out Meet Belmont at Chenery Middle School tonight, Aug. 30, starting at 6:00pm.
A note to all Blogging Belmont readers that tonight is the annual Meet Belmont event at Chenery Middle School. If you haven’t gone before, it’s a must see. That’s especially true if you’re new to town. The event runs from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm at the Chenery Middle School, 95 Washington Street in Belmont.
Meet Belmont is kind of like one stop shopping for Town government and volunteer organizations. Up to 90 local government and non profit organizations are present and you can sign up to receive email updates from them or volunteer and get involved. You can meet Town and other government officials and even register to vote.
The event is sponsored by the Belmont 21 Vision Implementation Committee and by The Belmont Public Schools. Belmont Car Wash and Belmont Light lend support to the event, as well.
There will be a drop off area for food and other donations to the Belmont Food Pantry, as well so bring a non-perishable food or toiletry item to donate when you come.
