Wake-Up Call for BHS

A new report from The New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), based on a six month long assessment of Belmont High concludes that Belmont High School is in such a state of disrepair that it represents a “crisis” for the town that demands immediate response. More concerning: the report raises red flags about conditions within the schools and BHS’s ability to make good on its own goals and promises to educate students. Many of the problems are linked to school budget cuts in recent years.
