A better Citizen Herald?

Tonight I’ll be attending the first ever meeting of the Belmont Citizen Herald’s Community Advisory Board. The meeting was organized by editor Anthony Schinella with the goal of getting more community input on ways to improve the town’s main news source and only weekly paper. I think it’s a great idea and I’ve been reading my BCH religiously and putting together some ideas on ways the paper could improve its coverage of the town.

Since I have the ear of the BloggingBelmont community, however, I thought I’d throw the question(s) out to you, as well?

  • Are you happy with the coverage that you read in the Citizen Herald?
  • Do you think the paper does a good job informing you about the important matters facing the town and giving you the information you need?
  • What kinds of things would you like to see the paper write about more?
  • What would you like to see the paper write about less?
  • What changes (if any) would you like to see in the editorial policy of the BCH?

Feel free to respond in the comments section, or to email me directly if you’d prefer to keep your opinions confidential.
